18-year-old Florida woman arrested in connection with threat against Las Cruces school

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Police in Florida arrested an 18-year-old woman in connecting with social media threats against a Las Cruces school.

The threat started circulating Tuesday, prompting a statewide warning from the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Other students in other parts of the state, including Roswell, also received threats over social media, although it is unclear if those threats are connected or if the Florida woman was also involved in creating those threats.

The woman has not yet been identified. We will update you as we learn more.
