Video shows woman raped in Chicago while security guards stand by, watch

CHICAGO, Illinois -- A newly filed lawsuit contends a woman was raped in an alley behind a bar while two security guards are seen on video watching and doing nothing nothing to stop it, Fox 32 in Chicago reports.

The surveillance video, which was filed as part of the lawsuit against the bar, actually shows the security guards opening the door for a man who walks outside while holding up a woman by her neck.

The man can then be seen on the video leading the victim down to the end of the alley where he pushes her against a garbage dumpster and rapes her, the suit says, and the security guards do not intervene to stop the sexual assault.

"The two security guards are out there standing and laughing and watching as though this is something of a joke for them,” attorney John Chwarzynski, who represents the victim, told Fox 32.

The woman's attacker has not been identified, so no criminal charges have been filed in the case. Chicago police said it remains an open investigation.
