Yemeni official says missile fired by Houthi rebels kills at least 17, including 5-year-old girl
SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Yemeni officials say the country’s Houthi rebels have fired a ballistic missile on a government-held city, killing at least 17 people, including a 5-year-old girl. The missile hit a gas station in the Rawdha neighborhood in Marib, according to Ali al-Ghulisi, the Marib governor’s press secretary. Information Minister Moammar al-Iryani said at least five others were wounded in the attack. There was no immediate comment from the Houthis. The strike came as the U.S. special envoy for Yemen lashed out at the rebels, accusing them of failing to try to reach an urgently needed cease-fire in the war-wrecked nation.
