GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — The morgue at Gaza’s biggest hospital, Shifa in Gaza City, is overflowing on the sixth day of heavy aerial bombardment on the territory of 2.3 million people. Scores of Palestinians are being crushed each day in the rubble from a relentless Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which comes in response to an unprecedented Hamas attack in southern Israel. Medics in Gaza are facing a problem as the casualties mounted Thursday — where to put the bodies. The sheer volume of human remains has pushed the system to its limit in the long-blockaded territory. Making matters worse, Israel has now blocked all supplies of fuel, electricity and medicine from entering the enclave.
