Friday the 13th shooting leaves 22-year-old man with life-threatening injuries

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso police say they have not been able to communicate with a man who suffered serious injuries from a gunshot on Friday, May 13.

Police say it happened at 11:43 p.m. on the 4000 block of Flory Ave in northeast El Paso.

Police identified the victim as Carlos Enrique Nuñez.

Police say Nuñez was in a car with a friend and an unknown person. Police say the unknown person shot Nuñez in the upper body area, then got away.

Nuñez was taken to University Medical Center.

No arrests have been made.
