Migrants still waiting in front of gate 42 on the border wall ahead of the expiration of Title 42

JUAREZ, Chihuahua (KVIA) -- Hundreds of migrants are still camping in front of gate 42 waiting to be processed by U.S. authorities.

Compared to Thursday, a big group of migrants was still waiting in front of this gate, but gate 40 was already empty.

Since Wednesday, U.S. authorities have picked up big groups of migrants from these gates, with more still arriving every hour.

ABC-7 saw small groups of migrants trying to reach gate 42, but they were diverted to other surrounding areas to get access to the border.

Some migrants said they arrived in Juarez in the last couple of days, ahead of the expiration of Title 42.

Multiple reports said the camp next to Juarez's city hall is now almost empty.

That was not the case, however, migrants at the camp told ABC-7 the camp has received more migrants that have been returned from the U.S. this week.

Some of the migrants who were returned back said, they don't want to try entering again the same way. They told ABC-7 they want to wait to cross legally and wait for that chance.
