ABC-7 First Alert: Windy start to week with blowing dust and sand

KVIA

El Paso, Texas-- The ABC-7 StormTrack weather team continues with the ABC-7 First Alert as strong winds are expected in the forecast for the beginning of the week.

It will be windy for much of the week with the strongest winds expected Monday and Tuesday. Gusts of up to 40-45 MPH are expected both days. With these strong gusts, blowing dust and sand is possible and can make for dangerous driving conditions.

A cold front Tuesday will bring moisture with it and drop afternoon highs Wednesday and Thursday to the upper 60s. Our greatest chance at seeing showers will be on Wednesday.

Much warmer temperatures are expected to return by this weekend.
