ABC-7 First Alert: Winds kick up today, rain chances increase, and cooler temps on the way

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Our ABC-7 First Alert continues as a storm system begins to move through the Borderland bringing windy conditions, increased rain chances, and cooler temps.

Big weather changes begin today as a pacific storm system moves through the area. We will see increased winds with peak wind gusts measuring at 30 MPH. We will see a windy afternoon with blowing dust.

We will also see cloudy skies and increased moisture in the air. Higher rain chances will be present sitting at 20%.

A sharp cold front will come as a result of the pacific storm Thursday night bringing noticeably cooler temperatures to the Borderland.
