ABC-7 First Alert: Partly cloudy skies, isolated thunderstorms east, Thursday evening

El Paso, TX ( KVIA-TV)-We did it again, El Paso; we set another record for the heat on Wednesday. 97 was the previous record set in 1973. Officially, we hit a high of 99 degrees in El Paso at the airport.

This afternoon will be warm again, with temperatures reaching the 90s, running 5 to 10 degrees above normal.

An ABC-7 First Alert is in effect for the potential to see thunderstorms this evening.
