Drier air today reduces thunderstorm chances, heat peaks monday

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Today's notably drier air across the Borderland is expected to lessen the chances of thunderstorms, coupled with slightly cooler temperatures.

However, rain and thunderstorm chances will rise again starting Sunday and continue to increase through midweek.

Temperatures are set to climb, with the hottest day anticipated to be Monday, when lowland areas could experience temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
