ABC-7 StormTrack weather – lots of rain with storms that hammered the area for Friday night football.
Parts of the Borderland saw lots of rain and lightning on opening night for the Borderland Blitz. Enough storms developed that most games were canceled or did not even see kick-off.
Doppler radar estimated rainfall amounts of right around 1" in many locations across the Borderland. The National Weather Service issued a flood warning due to heavy rain.
The chance for storms will hang around for the weekend but should not be close to what we saw Friday night.
