ABC-7 First Alert continues – Rain begins Saturday and lasts through next week

An abundance of tropical moisture will stream across the Desert Southwest and send inches of rainfall across the area for the weekend and next week. Rainfall amounts could be anywhere from 1-2" for El Paso and Las Cruces.

There will be some instability hanging around at times to give the area some thunderstorms too. These storms could kick up some gusty winds and small hail in spots.
