ABC-7 First Alert: Mainly light lingering snow through the early hours
A winter storm hit the borderland Tuesday and the snow continued to fall Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service El Paso trained weather spotters reported, 0.8" of snow in northeast Las Cruces, 4.0" in east El Paso, 3.6" in northeast El Paso and 1.5" in Alamogordo. The lingering snow showers will remain light through the early morning hours.
El Paso, Otero, and Hidalgo Counties use caution because the roadways will be slick, drier conditions are expected this afternoon and evening. Highs will run from 15 to 20 degrees below the daily average. Temperatures warm into the upper 60s and 70s this weekend.
