ABC-7 First Alert: Temperatures soar, Monsoon stalls

The ABC-7 Weather team issued a First Alert Happy Monday, everyone! Drier air works it's way into the region therefore rain chances will be very limited. The chance of storms will be confined to the area mountains. High pressure will move back over the borderland allowing temperatures to reach near-record values this week. We typically see the triple-digits end on August 2nd but this week will be filled with triple-digit heat. The heatwave begins today and persists through the weekend.
