New Mexico Attorney General announces name change for office

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The New Mexico Attorney General's office held a news conference on Wednesday, January 10, to announce a change to the office's name as well as a shift in perspective for the office.

The department's new name will be the "New Mexico Department of Justice."

The Attorney General hopes this new name will better reflect the department's goal to serve the citizens of New Mexico.
