Man who received international support after losing wife in Walmart shooting is charged with DWI
The man who received support from all over the world after losing his wife in the Walmart mass shooting was charged with DWI Tuesday morning.
El Paso County jail records show Antonio Basco is being held under a $2,500 bond. Police said he was arrested at 12:44 a.m. on the 1100 block of Piedras in Central El Paso.
A spokesman for the El Paso Police Department told ABC-7 Basco was driving a blue Ford Explorer when he was arrested.
As ABC-7 reported, Casa Ford donated that car to Basco after his vehicle was reportedly damaged and stolen.
In recent times, Basco had been living out of that vehicle after being evicted from his home for failure to pay rent.
