Arrest made after westside apartment fire

The El Paso Fire Department reports that a woman has been arrested for arson after an apartment fire that happened back in August.

The fire happened the night of August 25th the 100 block of Camille Drive on El Paso’s westside.

Fire investigators believe the fire was started purposely by 40-year-old Desiree Hoyos Espinoza. Investigators say she lives in the area where the fire occurred, and was was arrested last Friday and is charged with arson.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but ABC-7 records who it caused about $100,000 of damage to a bottom-floor apartment.
