NMSU Eagles? Faulty hats sold at Las Cruces Walmart

How does New Mexico State University Eagles instead of Aggies sound? That’s exactly what a hat read that was being sold at a Walmart store in Las Cruces.

The faulty hats were being sold at the Walmart on Walton Boulevard in Las Cruces. The “NMSU Eagles” hat circulated after a Facebook user posted a photo of it.

NMSU officials reportedly called the Walmart location asking them to remove the hats. When ABC-7 visited the store late Thursday afternoon, the hats had been taken off the shelves.

There was no word on how many “Eagles” hats were on sale. ABC-7 reached out to NMSU officials for comment but did not immediately hear back.
