Assistance Center for those impacted by Walmart shooting to close, but services still available

The Family Assistance Center (FAC), serving those affected by the Walmart mass shooting, will be moving out of the Convention Center in Downtown El Paso as 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The resources and services will still be available while the center transitions to the upcoming El Paso Resiliency Center, city officials said. Once the center closes, a full list of services, contact information, and their locations will be available at EPStrong.org and by dialing 2-1-1.

Those affected are still encouraged to visit the Family Assistance Center until it closes to receive any needed support or services, city officials said.

Information regarding the coming Resiliency Center will be provided by the City of El Paso in the next several days.
