El Paso runners can take part in marathon virtual fun run
EL PASO, Texas -- Covid-19 has put a damper on a variety of activities across the country.
For running enthusiasts, not being able to participate in marathons has been especially difficult.
But an El Paso running club is looking to provide an outlet and allow runners to take part in a virtual fun run marathon.
It's the feel and spirit of a marathon, while at the same time maintaining social distancing.
Run El Paso is the local running club organizing the event.
Runners can chose between a 5K or 19K run, and they can go at their own pace.
They can either set up their own course outdoors or even run on a treadmill.
Runners will then submit their results and will receive a medal as well as a neck gaiter.
The cost for each runner who wants to participate is $25, and they have the entire month of June to submit their results.
Runners can apply by visiting the Run El Paso website at https://rep.clubexpress.com/
