Suspect sought by police for skinning & disposing of dog in west El Paso trash dumpster
A man was being sought by El Paso police as a suspect in the dumping of a dead dog that had been skinned, and authorities Tuesday asked for help in finding and identifying him.
As ABC-7 first reported late last month, the dog was found in a garbage dumpster that sits between the Sally Beauty’s Supply and Albertsons grocery stores, near Redd Road and Interstate 10 in west El Paso.
At that time, ABC-7 spoke with a Sally’s employee who said she witnessed a man dumping the dead dog. Now, police have released the details of what the woman witnessed and asked for the public’s help in finding the suspect.
Police said the witness saw a man “throw a white plastic bag, with what appeared to be dog’s feet protruding from the bag, into the business dumpster.”
That observation was made on Sept. 25 around 5:30 p.m., and police described the man as wearing a black shirt and driving a newer model Ford F-150 pick-up.
Investigators asked that anyone who could help identify the suspect contact EPPD. The man could face animal cruelty charges.
