EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- When the word mushroom is said, some instantly think about the hearty and savory taste paired with a steak, while others think about the psychedelic experiences caused by other varieties. Whether you have more experience cooking the fungi, or consuming it in another way-- experts say there are more uses for mushrooms than you may think!

While there are several varieties of psilocybin mushrooms, there are even more species that provide medicinal benefits to those who use them.
