American adults are missing physical activity
CNN --
American adults are missing something: exercise. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a study which found that less than a quarter of adults are meeting physical activity guidelines.
In 2020, only 24% got enough aerobic and strengthening activity to meet federally recommended guidelines. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends at least 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise a week or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous exercise or an equivalent combination of both.
