UPDATE: Victim Of Fatal Crash Identified

EL PASO — Authorities have released the name of the man who died in a fatal crash on Monday near the Zaragosa point of entry.

Officialsreport Manuel Guzman Llanes was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, a heavy-duty pickup truck, when he somehow lost control, hitting a rock wall.Guzman had to be removed from the vehicle using the jaws of life. After his body was removed from the vehicle,emergency crews had found he had already died.

Pictures provided by Customs and Border Protection show the front end of thevehicle had crumpled up, and extensive damage was evident throughout.

Guzman, who was 24, was not wearing his seatbelt, investigators said.The vehicle he was driving has Chihuahua license plates, butauthorities said they arenot sure if he was a Mexican citizen.
