Update: Missing Bipolar Man Found

A man who went missing Saturday afternoon, John Lee Williams, 37, has been found in central El Paso.

Williams was last seen in far east El Paso at a bus stop on Joe Battle Boulevard and Montana Avenue.

According to sheriff’s officials, Williams called them for a ride from the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Downtown El Paso shortly before midnight on Monday.

Williams told officials he had been at the bus station since Saturday.

Deputies said Williams is bipolar and has schizophrenia, and had not taken his medication since he went missing.

Williams was found unharmed and in good health. Sheriff’s officials said he is now back on his medication and with his caretakers.
