ABC-7 Forecast for Sunday, January 8

The ABC-7 StormTRACK Weather Team continues to track the next winter storm system that will bring wind, colder temperatures and chances for showers to the Borderland. Sunday will start off mild with highs in the upper 50’s and breezy winds. Conditions will get windier as we head into the afternoon as a cold front will pushes through the region. There will be a 30% chance for showers late in the day and they will linger into the overnight hours. The rain showers could see snow mixed in as chances for showers remain at 30% in the overnight and morning hours. Monday’s highs will drop by about 13-15 degrees with highs in the mid 40’s. Conditions will remain breezy and skies will clear throughout the day. Expect plenty of sunshine on Tuesday with a warm-up to 53 degrees. A few extra clouds roll in for Wednesday making for mostly clear skies and highs near 60 degrees. Conditions will be breezy on Wednesday evening. Expect a breezy day on Thursday with partly cloudy skies and cooler highs around 50 degrees. Friday will once again be partly cloudy with a warm-up to the low to mid 50’s. Next Saturday will see highs in the mid 50’s and mainly sunny skies. Expect dry conditions Tuesday through Saturday.
