Brodricks Jones to sign with UTEP basketball team
The UTEP Miners may have saved their season after the unfortunate news of losing Center Matt Willms due to his lingering foot injury.
Brodricks Jones visited UTEP the weekend of August, 1, and he was greeted by many fans at the airport once he touched down in the Borderland.
Jones was ranked as the 102 players in the class of 2015 in the country, and had previously signed his letter of intent to play at SDSU.
Early Saturday afternoon on August, 2, Jones mentioned on twitter he was going to sign with UTEP to play basketball. The tweet read quote, “I am signing with the University of Texas at El Paso. #UTEP Very blessed and fortunate”
This signing would be tremendous for the team due to the big loss down low for Matt Willms. Jones fills an immediate front court need and can play immediately entering the ’15-’16 season.
Head Coach Tim Floyd could not comment about the signing.
