NMSU falls to UC Irvine at buzzer 54-52
It was the tallest team in the nation facing off against the second tallest team. UC Irvine hosting NMSU in a final game before conference play.
The Aggies stuck with the Anteaters all night long, but UC Irvine finished the game on an 8-0 run and the Aggies couldn’t respond.
Ian Baker had a chance to win the game with a three pointer, but the shot was no good and UC Irvine escaped with a narrow 54-52 victory.
The Aggies will play Utah Valley Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.
