Trolley route construction resumes Monday
Construction on the future trolley route resumes Monday.
The two loops will include 27 stops around town.
According to the El Paso Streetcar Facebook page, the first closures will be on Stanton Street, Kansas Street and Father Rahm Avenue.
Stanton from E. River to Arizona Ave. will be closed until February. No specific date was listed on the streetcar’s Facebook page. The image regarding the closure indicated that there will be access to the Cathedral High School parking lot.
Kansas will also be closed until an unspecified date in February from E. Main Street to Texas Avenue.
Father Rahm will be closed until an unspecified date in April from Mesa to Kansas. Only the eastbound lanes of Fr. Rahm will be open from Santa Fe Street to Mesa.
The Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority is handling the construction and the refurbishing of the old streetcars.
