been getting some unwanted calls? you are not alone. rick cabrera shares some tips in abc-7 listens. i don’t know if it’s happening more than before … but it sure seems like we are hearing about it more than ever. unsolicited calls on your cell phone! karmella emailed us this week after being harassed by calls every 20 minutes to an hour … then it jumped to every 5 to 15 minutes. she says it was an automated message in spanish and she tried returning the call. “i responded twice telling th woman; in spanish to get my phone off the list. she rudely hangs up on me! “who and what is this organization?? who is the person harassing me?? “th automated message is so fast that i cannot understand who the organization is so that i could try to find a director to report the abuse of the personnel in their organization. “and now th constant calls! what can i do about this organization.?? i responded to karmella’s plea for help with a link to the federal communications commission’s webpage devoted to unwanted marketing calls. it lays out how to register with the national do-not-call list. to sign up, call this number… 1-888-382- 1222. again, 1-888-382- 1222. you can also register online at donotcall.gov. if you missed the number or website … we have it at kvia.com in in the links mentioned section. just remember telemarketers have up to 31 days to stop calling you. karmella did just that and sent up this email a few days later. “thank you, thank you, than you! not only did i register my phone number, but i also made a complaint against the spanish robo-calls for obama care. “not one call the entire day, compared to the 5 or 8 per day! “god bless you for facilitating me with the link!!” karmella … hopefully that does the trick. and again that info is on our website … k-v-i-a dot com. rick cabrera. abc-7 we share more tips on how
