NMSU cruises to 80-62 win over Chicago State
The New Mexico State Aggies got double-digit scoring from four players and a season-high 10 blocked shots on the way to an 80-62 victory over Chicago State Saturday night at the Pan American Center.
The Aggies (11-8, 3-1) won their 30th consecutive Western Athletic Conference home game, while the Cougars (4-16, 0-4) suffered their 16th straight road loss.
“I was happy about the overall effort,” said NM State head coach Marvin Menzies. “(CSU) is the type of team that never gives up and keeps coming at you, and it was good to get a convincing win over them.”
The Aggies are back on the road next week, making the Pacific swing. NM State visits KeyArena to meet Seattle on Thursday in a game that tips at 8 p.m. Mountain time.
