El Nino brings snow and business to Ski Apache and Ruidoso

Ski Apache has recorded 126 inches of snow fall this year, making it one of the top three resorts for the state with the most snowfall.

Thanks to El Nino winter storms continue to hit Ski Apache and Ruidoso, New Mexico. Skiers on the slopes say it’s some of the best snow Ski Apache has seen in over two decades.

As more tourists make their way to the ski resort to enjoy the fresh powder it’s bringing more business to neighboring towns like Ruidoso.

One shop owner says business has quadrupled since they have had such an active winter.
