NM State Police seek information on deadly hit-and-run in Anthony

New Mexico Police are still looking for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Anthony, N.M.

Ruben Benjamin Valenzuela, 22, was walking south on N.M. 478 justh south of O’Hara Road when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

Investigators with the NMSP Crash Reconstruction Unit believe a Dodge Ram pickup, possibly black or a dark paint color, was involved. They said truck’s right side headlight and grill might be damaged, and the right side mirror could be missing. The pickup also might have a camper shell on it.

This crash is still under investigation and no further details were made available.
