Anthony house fire has multiple fire departments responding

an early morning fire caused their roof to collapse. the fire broke out shortly after one this morning at the intersection of poplar and luisa in anthony texas. firefighters from el paso county , santa teresa, west valley and anthony fire departments battled the fire. neighbors tell abc7 they saw the flames and ran to the house to help out. they tried to put out the fire, but the flames kept growing. that’s when they changed tactics: “we ran up in there and kicke the door down and we took out the old man and we tried to help him.” charlie says he got the elderly man and his dogs to safety. a 14 yr old girl who was also helping was taken to an area hospital with minor smoke inhalation. investigators are at the scene trying to determine what caused the blaze. after a little more than
