The New Mexico State Aggies fell in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Baylor. The final score was 91-73.

Matt Taylor fouled out with six minutes left in the game.

After a half that featured it all, the New Mexico State Aggies found themselves up 2 at the break, 40-38.

NMSU opened the game on an 11-3 run, but Baylor responded quickly with a 9-0 run of their own. The Aggies though, shot 50% from the floor in the first 20 minutes including a team-high 10 points from Forward Eli Chuha.

The Aggies were also able to contain Baylor on the glass, as both teams posted an identical stat line of 10 offensive rebounds.

Baylor did show off its length as they accounted for 6 blocks, but the Aggies benefitted from Johnathan Motley getting into foul trouble early with 2 fouls.

Both teams shot 50 percent in the first half, in what should provide an exciting finish in the final 20 minutes.
