LC Boy sells lemonade to help pay grandfather’s medical expenses

Nine-year-old Angel Reyes is supposed to be resting during Spring Break.

He’s not.

Instead, the boy is selling lemonade to help his family pay for his grandfather’s medical expenses.

Angel’s grandfather was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.

“I wanted to do this for my grandpa because I want to see him happy and I want to see him smile. And I won’t stop until it’s perfect,” Angel said.

What is his grandpa’s reaction?

“He said , ‘that’s great and I love you,'” Angel said.

“He wanted to do something all on his own, he wanted to do this whole lemonade stand,” Chasity Sanchez, Angel’s mom, said. “It was all his idea and he just really wanted to help grandpa..it’s really touched my dad.”

Angel is selling the lemonade at 1739 Payne street. He will be there all week in between 12pm and 4pm.
