Tax exemption for unborn children
ATLANTA, Georgia --
Pregnant moms in Georgia can now get tax credits for their unborn children.
This is part of the state's heartbeat abortion law which limits when women can get the procedure. However, the law also recognizes a fetus as a life once a heartbeat is detected.
Pregnant mothers can claims a personal exemption of $3000 for each unborn child.
Georgia's Department of Revenue states that those exemptions will be honored on 2022 tax returns.
