Car crashes into gas meter in West El Paso leaving residents startled

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Car crashes into gas meter in Kern Place neighborhood leaving some residents startled.
According to fire officials, they received a call just before 11:30 Thursday night.
Video from our ABC-7 crews shows what appears to be a grey vehicle crashed into a gas meter.
Fire officials were called out to the scene to stop the spread of gas in the area.
They also said no injuries were reported.
An earlier version of this story was posted, citing that residents were asked to evacuate their homes by either El Paso Police or Firefighters. Residents were not asked to evacuate and the story has since been corrected.
