El Paso police say motorcyclist is dead after Monday crash

Update: The motorcyclist involved in Monday's crash has died, according to El Paso Police. They identified the victim as 57-year-old Ricardo Sierra. Investigators say Sierra was trying to pass a car while traveling northbound on Berringer Street. He entered the opposing lane, where another car was traveling. Police say he hit a curb and was seriously injured. Emergency crews rushed him to the hospital where he later died.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Special Traffic Investigators with the El Paso Police Department were called out to crash at East Borderland Road and Berringer Street in West El Paso Monday night.

According to officials, the crash involved a motorcycle.

Officers were called out to the scene just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.
