As actors restart talks and writers return to work, here are key players in the Hollywood strikes

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The key players in the two strikes that brought Hollywood to a halt include little-known leaders, labor lawyers and entertainment tycoons. Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, a lawyer who began his career prosecuting criminals, is leading the negotiations that just restarted for the actors union. Across the table from him is Carol Lombardini, the head of the alliance of studios the actors are striking against. Lombardini also led negotiations for the employers in the writers strike that recently ended. That deal was struck with lead writers negotiator Ellen Stutzman, who had to jump into that role weeks before contract talks began in the spring when her predecessor stepped down with illness.
