The Weeknd is Donating 4 Million Emergency Meals to Gaza
The United Nations World Food Program announced on Friday (Dec. 1) that WFP Goodwill Ambassador The Weeknd, has directed $2.5 million from his XO Humanitarian Fund to aid the WFP’s humanitarian response in Gaza.
The donation will provide four million emergency meals and fund the delivery of approximately 1.8 million pounds of food parcels that could feed more than 173,000 Palestinians for two weeks.
The XO Humanitarian Fund has raised $5 million to date.
The first $2.5 million went to support emergency food assistance to women and children in Ethiopia.
The rest will be allocated to the Gaza response.
