Biden assails Project 2025, a plan to transform government, and Trump’s claim to be unaware of it

MIAMI (AP) — Former President Donald Trump claims he knows nothing about a plan for a massive overhaul of the federal government drafted by some of his former administration officials. President Joe Biden isn’t buying that. Some involved in the Project 2025 plan are expected to take high-level administration jobs if Trump wins the election. Trump says he has “no idea” who is behind the project and thinks some of its ideas are “ridiculous.” Biden said in a statement from his campaign Saturday that Project 2025 “should scare every single American/” And he accused Trump of trying to hide his connections to an extreme agenda.
