The White House public tour has been upgraded so visitors can see, hear and touch more

Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Jill Biden has unveiled what she’s calling a reimagined White House public tour that was designed to teach visitors more about the mansion’s history and events that unfolded in some of its famous rooms. She has added the Diplomatic Reception Room to the tour. Presidents often use that entrance on the south side of the building to welcome visiting dignitaries. She also added new features to help visitors learn history through feeling, hearing and seeing. Some 10,000 visitors tour the White House each week. Biden unveiled the updated tour on Monday. Visitors on Tuesday will be the first to experience it.
