Man arrested for allegedly murdering teen in desert area of El Paso County

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for murder. 20-year-old Jose Manuel Villa was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond. Officials with the Sheriff's office say Villa murdered 19-yera-old Adan Tiscarreno.

According to a spokesperson, deputies found Tiscarreno on the 13000 block of FitzPatrick Way in Sparks. Tiscarreno had been shot and was taken to the hospital where he later died.

A Sheriff's office spokesperson says Major Crimes detectives started investigating the shooting. Officials say their investigation led them to arrest Villa.

During the investigation, officials say that investigators learned the shooting happened in a desert area near Horizon Boulevard and Mark Twain Avenue, also in Sparks. They say Tiscarreno had been shot once in the back.
