EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Water will shut off water access to some homes in the central area starting Tuesday, May 23 at 10 p.m.

That scheduled shut-off will last until 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 24.

The company says customers in the Morning Heights neighborhood will be impacted. Residents may notice no water or low pressure water coming out of their faucets.

The water company is planning to replace valves in the area. Officials say this will improve service reliability in the area. Valves on Fillmore Avenue, Byron Street, Pierce Avenue, and Partello Street will be replaced.

El Paso Water is setting up two water tanks, one at the intersection of Byron Street and Fillmore Avenue, the other at the intersection of Pierce Avenue and Lackland Street.
