MGN

A driver was killed instantly in a rollover SUV crash along Interstate-10 westbound near Deming late Friday afternoon, New Mexico State Police told ABC-7.

The location of the deadly crash was at mile marker 101 along I-10, which is about 25 miles west of Las Cruces.

The SUV rolled over multiple times about 3:30 p.m., police said.

While the driver was not ejected, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Looking at the mangled wreckage after the vehicle was set upright and placed on a truck bed for towing, you could barely tell that it was a Jeep.

Exactly what triggered the rollover crash was under investigation by authorities and the victim’s identity had yet to be released.

No further details were immediately available.
