3 Mayfield High students faint during 9/11 ceremony in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Three Mayfield High School students fainted during the school's 9/11 ceremony this morning.

"Paramedics were there as part of the event and quickly attended to the students, moving them to the shade and giving them water," a Las Cruces Public Schools spokesperson told ABC-7. "An additional 12 students complained of headaches or dizziness and parents took 4 students home. One student, who is a diabetic, needed additional medical attention."

The three students who fainted "locked their knees" according to the spokesperson.
