Fire in Juarez sends up large plume of black smoke
JUAREZ -- A large plume of black smoke that can be seen for miles across the Borderland is due to a fire at a metal recycling plant in Juarez.
According to neighbors, there's been concern about debris and trash around the area. An image from the scene shows there are homes nearby.
The fire is visible off Loop 375 directly south of the UTEP area.
