Victim in fiery crash identified 2 months after tragic event

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police say the Medical Examiner's Office has identified the driver of a car who died in a fiery crash in April.

Police say the victim was 57-yeard-old Raymond Barron of Central El Paso.

Barron's funeral was held Friday, June 10 two months after his death. The family had to hold off on the burial as the remains were positively identified.

Yvonne Delgado, Barron's sister, spoke with ABC-7 and said her brother was a hard-working man and was on his way to work as a security guard when the crash happened.

The family said they waited a long time to have their family member back home, and he did not deserve to die so soon and in this way.

Delgado said her family still needs closure.

“No, I don’t feel closure, these people need to pay for what they did, they took my mom's child, my mom's devastated...we are all devastated, you don’t know what you did," said Delgado.

A man and a woman were arrested on April 14 in connection to the crash.

Delgado said they will not have closure until the people responsible are found guilty and put away.
