Code of conduct complaint against El Paso’s mayor “resolved”

EL PASO, Texas -- A brief news release describes the Code of Conduct complaint made against El Paso's Mayor as having been "resolved."

The complaint was filed last week by city Rep. Peter Svarzbein who said the Mayor physically threatened him during an incident in council chambers after a meeting in February.

In a joint statement, Mayor Oscar Lesser and Rep. Svarzbein made the following statement following a morning meeting between the two and Alternate Pro Temp Cissy Lizarraga.

"The Mayor and Mayor Pro Temp had a constructive conversation and will continue to practice civility and professionalism during discussions and debates. Both remain committed to moving the City of El Paso forward and will continue to work together to see great things happen in El Paso."
